IBR Approved Studded Tubes
We specialize in inbed tube bending with studs, manufactured as per IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations) and customer specifications. Inbed tubes, also known as fluidized bed tubes or erosion-resistant bed coils, are a critical part of FBC (Fluidized Bed Combustion) and CFBC boilers, designed to withstand high erosion and thermal stresses.
Our facility is equipped to bend inbed tubes with pre-welded studs to precise radii, maintaining exact pitch and alignment as per your drawing. The welded studs help protect the tubes from erosion due to bed material circulation, extending their service life and improving boiler reliability.
- Tube bending as per IBR & customer-approved drawing
- Stud welding with uniform pitch & strong bonding
- Suitable for FBC & CFBC boilers of all makes
- High accuracy & ready-to-install assemblies
We deliver fully finished inbed tube assemblies with studs, saving you time and ensuring smooth installation and longer operational life.

IBR Approved Studded Boiler Tubes
The steel studs are resistance-welded automatically to the tube to provide high-quality forge welds. The automatic studding machines can accommodate tube diameters ranging from 60mm o/d to 219mm o/d with a standard stud diameter of 12.7mm. The weldable combination allows any grades for stud and tube to be combined: carbon, alloy and stainless steels as well as high nickel alloys. Alloy steel pipes are stress-relieved following studding to the appropriate specification for the class and grade of steel applied.
- Corrosion Protection for Studed Boilers Tubes: If required, the external surfaces of studded tubes can be treated with a protective coating. Our engineers are always ready to assist you with design considerations to meet your specific product needs. We manufacture durable studed boilers tubes designed for high efficiency, maximum heat transfer, and long service life in boilers.
- Application of Studded Tube Bending Job Work: Studded tubes are utilized in place of finned tubes for heat transfer within the petrochemical sector, typically within furnaces and boilers, where the surface is subjected to a highly corrosive atmosphere and where highly fouling gas streams need to be cleaned frequently or with an aggressive cleaning regime. Abhay Boilers & Projects Pvt. Ltd. supply IBR approved studded tubes engineered for superior heat transfer, efficiency, and reliability in high-pressure boiler applications.

FAQs for Studded Tube Bending Job Work
The standard stud diameter is about 12.77mm in size. And it’s important because it ensures reliable performance across a variety of applications
Our machines are built to handle tube diameters ranging from 60mm to 219mm outer diameter.
We provide additional corrosion protection if required. To extend its working life, we do provide corrosion-resistant protection layers.
Studded tubes are better suited for highly corrosive atmospheres and in cases where gas streams are prone to fouling. Their design allows for frequent or aggressive cleaning, making them ideal for petrochemical furnaces and boilers.
